Victor J. Messerschmidt
Victor is a Czech-German lawyer with an LL.M. in Art Law from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, with prior professional stations in Germany, Italy and Austria. As a former member of the Vienna Boys' Choir and a lifelong pianist, he was drawn to law through the creative world. This affinity led him to film law and intellectual property, which he practised in international and boutique firms as well as in-house in the luxury sector. His LL.M. thesis about the evolution of the art market between art advisory and legal issues turned his focus to the art market and the legal questions surrounding the acquisition, advisory, and circulation of artworks and collectible design. He is the founder of Æsthesis Studio, a network at the intersection of art law, art advisory and collection management.
